You start the route from the info centre in Hegebeintum, from there you will pass a number of points that tell the story of the villages of Ferwert and Hegebeintum.
You won't come across castles with tall towers in Friesland... But on a cycling tour through the north of the province, you will discover beautiful historic houses and estates with beautifully landscaped gardens, the so-called ‘staten and stinzen’.
Enjoy a wonderful 41-kilometre bike ride through De Alde Feanen National Park. Along the way, a ferry takes you 4, 5 or even 6 times to the next unique area, allowing you to fully enjoy the diverse nature.
